This post was written yesterday (9/3/2014)

9 months and 1 day ago we found out my mother had terminal cancer, you would think that in that 9 months I would have gotten used to the fact that mom was going to die at some point.  I haven’t.  You’d think that I would have told her enough that I love her.  I didn’t….

I posted yesterday that mom was having some trouble and that I didn’t know what it was, well today I do know.  She is in liver failure.  She is not in pain currently and she is aware that the end is drawing near.  We saw her primary doctor today and she told him that she some how just knew that things were coming to an end.

I do not know how long she will live from here, the doctor says less than a month, but it could be sooner.  We will be getting hospice involved in the next couple of days.

She and I just got back from Starbucks (that place has been her safe haven recently) and now she is trying to get into her nightgown.

I am just so sad that it hurts 🙁

Friends and family, you should call her sooner than later if you want to say hi and goodbye.  I do not know when she will no longer be able to talk on the phone.  Hopefully for days to come still.

I am very sorry if this is how you are finding out this news.  I really cannot call everyone and talk to them

Craig and I are in Europe right now and will be home on the 14th, of Sept. our phones aren’t working good over here so please tell her we are praying for her and give her our love. Please keep us informed on how she is doing. Love Mary Sent from my iPad

  2. Jarin,
This truly is sad news. Your mom has been a rock for so long that I was hoping that somehow she would live fairly comfortably with this for a long time. You have been a godsend for both of your parents. Please give your mom my love. Your family are all in my prayers.
