This picture was taken several years ago at John and Carol’s house in Valley Center at their annual Christmas party. There are 8 people in this picture and as of this morning with Carol’s passing, there are only 4 people left among us.
Carol, Mom, Wayne and Laverne all worked together for many years at Mountain Shadows. They were close friends for a very long time and it is so sad to think that all four couples have been split up by father time.
Those left behind are heartbroken at the news of Carol’s passing, but we are thankful to have known her. She was such a wonderful spirit. Vivacious, adventurous, intelligent and happy are a few words that can be used to describe her. We are thinking of her children and of John, who is also very ill at home under hospice care. I don’t imagine that he will be with us too much longer as his love has left him.
Wayne, followed by Tony, Dad and now Carol. Rest in peace you wonderfully kind souls! We have great memories of each of you and will cherish those memories always.
